It is usually occur when large surfaces are printed…..
It is usually seen during printing with large surfaces. Possible causes and suggested solutions are as follows.
Pad based causes
- Pad shape may not be appropriate, try different shaped pads.
Cliché based causes
- Cliché type may not be suitable: use of steel cliché causes less ink accumulation than polymer cliché.
- The cliché depth may be wrong: a new cliché should be prepared at the appropriate depth.
- The transmitter type may be incorrect: a new cliché should be prepared with a different transmitter.
- Cliché placement may be wrong: Printing of the long lines in the design should be tried by rotating the clichés in different directions.
Ink based causes
- Ink may be too thin; the amount of thinner added to the ink must be reduced.
- The ink may be too thick: the amount of thinner added to the ink must be increased.
- The ink-additive ratios may not be appropriate: the ink mixture must be prepared at the correct ratio before being placed in the ink tray.
Material based causes
- The surface of the material may be deformed: a suitable type of pad should be used.
Other causes
- On open ink tray machines the stripping blade may be too soft: a suitable stripping blade and ink tray should be used.
