It is caused by the static electricity on the material. In addition, inappropriate pad shape and ink fluidity can cause this problem. Possible causes and suggested solutions are as follows.

Pad based causes

  • Pad can be too flat: a more tapered pad should be used.

Cliché based causes

  • Cliché may be too deep; printing should be tried with a new cliché with proper depth.
  • Cliché may be without raster or with faulty type raster: Clichés should be prepared and tried with different raster.

Ink based causes

  • Ink may be too thick; thinner must be added.
  • Ink may dry too fast, fast thinner must be used.

Material based causes

  • Static load may accumulate on the material: de-ionizer should be used or the humidity of working environment should be increased.

Other causes

  • Humidity of air stabilizer may be low: humidity of the air stabilizer should be adjusted to 60-80%.
  • Conversion time can be very high: print time should be reduced.
  • The pressure of the pad on the material may be too high: the pressure should be lowered.
