Pad Printing Cliches – Steel & Polymer Clichés
Generally three types of clichés are used in pad printing. Unless otherwise stated, thin steel clichés are preferred for optimum printing life in standard pad printers, polymer clichés are used to meet immediate sample requirements, and cylindrical steel clichés are preferred for round pad printing machines.
Companies that produce a wide variety of products in small quantities are able to produce their own low priced polymer clichés. Steel clichés are prepared by our company.
Thin Steel Clichés
Thin Steel Clichés have a life span of 100,000 to 250,000 with closed-tray machines and a life span of 50,000 to 70,000 with open-tray machines.
Standard thicknesses of thin steel clichés are 0.50mm and 0.30mm.

Polymer Clichés
Polymer clichés that can be developed in alcohol or water, with little expectation of print life, but which can easily be produced by the firms whose production often changes, with their own means, thanks to the kit they will buy.
The printing life is between 20,000 to 60,000.
Cylindrical Steel Clichés
It is used in rotational pad printing machines; the life is between 1,000,000 and 10,000,000 rounds according to the type of the production material and type of the scraper blade.
