{"id":16564,"date":"2024-10-14T13:15:57","date_gmt":"2024-10-14T13:15:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tri.com.tr\/en\/?post_type=product&#038;p=16564"},"modified":"2024-11-04T08:08:31","modified_gmt":"2024-11-04T08:08:31","slug":"tu-r-series-screen-printing-ink","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.tri.com.tr\/en\/inks\/screen-printing-inks\/tu-r-series-screen-printing-ink\/","title":{"rendered":"TU-R Series Screen Printing Ink"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Type:<\/strong>\u00a0solvent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Printing process:<\/strong>\u00a0screen printing<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ink type:<\/strong>\u00a0one and two-component<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finish:<\/strong>\u00a0glossy<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials:<\/strong> ABS, Aluminium, Coated paper, Lacquered surfaces, Metal (in general), Mylar, Polycarbonate, Polymethacrylate (PMMA), Polystyrene,<br \/>\nPolyurethane, rigid PVC, Self-adhesive PVC, treated Ecoallene, treated PETG, treated Polyacetal (POM) (hard-plast), treated Polyester, treated<br \/>\nPolyethylene (HD-PE, LD-PE), treated Polypropylene, Wood<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main features:<br \/>\n<\/strong>The TU-R series doesn&#8217;t contain Cyclohexanone and aromatic Naphthas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent printability<\/li>\n<li>Glossy appearance<\/li>\n<li>Moderate solidity for applications that must be exposed to the outside<\/li>\n<li>Quick drying<\/li>\n<li>Excellent opacity<\/li>\n<li>Excellent adhesion even on surfaces with poor wettability, using the relative hardener.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent chemical-physical solidity<\/li>\n<li>Pseudo-plastic ink<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Because of the versatility of use of this ink, and the possible differences in the quality of the supports used, pre-tests are suggested.<\/p>\n<p>If necessary, help the adhesion of the ink modifying the surface tension of the various supports with specific treatments such as: plasma treatment, corona, flaming (physical treatments), cleaning or degreasing (chemical treatments).<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s possible to do tests even with post physical treatments.<\/p>\n<p>TU-PP series mixed with hardener has a pot life of approx. 8h (at 20\u00b0C).<\/p>\n<p>Higher temperatures and humidity will reduce pot life<\/p>\n<p>(recommended temperature 20-25\u00b0C and low moisture content in the workplace).<\/p>\n<p>Used as 2-component ink, TU-R series has to be mixed with hardener at a specified ratio prior to processing.<\/p>\n<p>Thinner is added after addition of hardener.<\/p>\n<p>The mixed ink should be allowed to pre-react for approx. 15 minutes prior to print.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Certifications:<\/strong>\u00a0CLP\/GHS (EC 1272\/2008), Conflict minerals free, EN 71-3, Reach (EC 1907\/2006), RoHS<\/p>\n<p>The EN 71:3 Directive is valid for standard shades of one component inks, two component inks, Ink system and Process colors, HD shades and for all not standard shades which do not contain metallic shades, metallic pastes or fluorescent pigments or inks. In order to clarify any doubt on not standard shades, it is always recommended to provide us a specific request.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eco-sustainability (free of):<\/strong>\u00a0Animal origin ingredients, Azo dyes, Bisphenol A (BPA), Formaldehyde, G-B Ester, Latex, Melamine, PAH, Persistent organic pollutants, Phthalates (listed in RoHS directive)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0shades in the fluorescent color chart contain formaldehyde.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0inks are formulated without aromatics naphthas, potential IPA contaminations are minimal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outdoor resistance<\/strong>\u00a0(years): 2<\/p>\n<p>Suitable for outdoor applications for periods not exceeding 3-4 years.<\/p>\n<p>The used pigments have a solidity from 6 to 8 DIN.<\/p>\n<p>XFH-N (10%) hardener is recommended for outdoor applications.<\/p>\n<p>In case of mixing with the transparent bases 70 TR or TP, or with white 160 or 60 BN, the<\/p>\n<p>light fastness and atmospheric agents decrease.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to increase the outdoor solidity, it&#8217;s recommended to add 5-7% of UV adsorber to the ink.<\/p>\n<p>Fluorescent shades (refer to the FLUO color chart) are formulated with special pigments which, due to the molecular constitution, do not guarantee high light solidity and are easily decomposed by electromagnetic radiation.<\/p>\n<p>Outdoor exposure cannot be longer than two months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drying process:<\/strong>\u00a015 minutes at room temperature<\/p>\n<p>TU-R series dries physically by evaporation of solvents or through chemical reaction.<\/p>\n<p>Drying times depend on various factors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thickness of printed ink layer (single print, multi-layer print).<\/li>\n<li>Type and amount of thinners\/retarders used<\/li>\n<li>Type of oven<\/li>\n<li>Drying temperature<\/li>\n<li>Type of substrate on which the ink is deposited.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ink dries physically by evaporation of solvents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>15 minutes at room temperature (depending on local conditions)<\/li>\n<li>50-60 sec at 50\u00b0C in an air circulation oven.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(The test performed in our laboratory was carried out under the following conditions: 8 mt \/ min, 120.34 screen printing mesh, medium thinner DILUENTE VINILICO at 15%, air circulation oven).<\/p>\n<p>Two-component drying by polymerization:<\/p>\n<p>When the Series TU-PP is added with the relative hardener, at the beginning the ink dries physically, followed by the polymerization reaction which takes place at room temperature (20\u00b0C) in at least 5-7 days.<\/p>\n<p>If the printed film is heated in an oven at 80\u00b0C for about 20 minutes, the polymerization is completed within 48 hours.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Mechanical and chemical solidity:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<table class=\"specifications table table-bordered\" border=\"1\" width=\"100% mixing of RAL, PMS and HKS colours<\/p>\n<p>The metallic shades are available only by mixing the relative pastes with the Transparent Base TU-R 70 TR<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gold paste 75 10-20%<\/li>\n<li>Gold paste 76 10-20%<\/li>\n<li>Gold paste 77 10-20%<\/li>\n<li>Bronze paste 78 10-20%<\/li>\n<li>Silver paste 79-050 10-15%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The metallic pastes composed with the relative transparent base TU-PP 70 TR, due to their particular composition, can oxidize.<\/p>\n<p>The pot-life of the compounded METALLIC PASTES is about 8 working hours.<\/p>\n<p>The other metallic shades are ready to use.<\/p>\n<p>Fluorescent shades are ready to use.<\/p>\n<p>In the Ink System color chart are present the shades:<\/p>\n<p>1080 yellow, 1081 magenta, 1082 blue, 1083 black, TP paste (CMYK), necessary for making four-color prints.<\/p>\n<p>In the range are also included the following shades :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>160 HD Opaque white<\/li>\n<li>165 HD Opaque
